CLASS DESCIPTIONS

These guidelines are to set you up for safety and success

Functional Movement

​

This is a perfect class if you want to move at a slower pace and focus on exercises that help the body age gracefully and strong. Utilizing a variety of Pilates equipment, props, and Mat work, this class creates balance and stability using dynamic functional movements for the entire body. Safe for all levels including those dealing with injuries or pain. Completion of our Intro to Pilates package and approval from instructor is required. Clients must be able to safely lift and lower the box, put their own feet in leg straps, and adjust their own equipment.

Intro to Pilates

Whether you are a brand-new beginner or wanting to brush up on your foundations, this is your class. Great for those wanting to begin a Pilates practice as well as move at a slower pace. Intro classes focus on proper form and breathing, learning how to adjust springs/equipment, and beginner transitions to ensure your Pilates practice will be safe and effective for years to come. Completion of our Intro to Pilates package is not required but highly suggested. Clients must be able to safely lift and lower the box, put their own feet in leg straps, and adjust their own springs/equipment.

Pilates Reformer and Equipment Group Class

Mixed Level

Progress from the beginner exercises to the intermediate work. The exercises will be a bit more challenging, the pace will flow a little steadier, and transitions from one move to the next (including equipment adjustments) will be quicker. Instructors will guide you with the easiest to more challenging options and you can decide which step you take at any given class. Clients must be able to safely lift and lower the box, put their own feet in leg straps, and adjust their own springs/equipment that keeps the pace of the class. Completion of our Intro to Pilates package or recent experience on Pilates equipment or equipment classes is required as well as approval from instructor. Clients must be able to self-modify. 

Intermediate

Proficient on the Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair? If you are currently injury free and want to work on more advanced exercise and quicker transitions, then this class is for you. Clients must be able to safely lift and lower the box, put their own feet in leg straps, and adjust their own springs/equipment in a flowing manner that keeps the pace of class. Completion of our Intro to Pilates package or recent experience on the Pilates equipment or equipment classes is required, as well as approval from instructor. Clients must be able to self-modify.
